❊
How it Works
❊
Each week for 4 weeks, we’ll meet for two hours.
During this meet up we will:
CONNECT
collect our thoughts & calm our nervous systems.
PLAY
engage in creative brainstorming activities and playful prompts in “The Songwriter’s Handbook” to facilitate the emergence of new songs.
LEARN
review and apply writing concepts from a chapter of study in “The Songwriter’s Handbook”.
SHARE
each songwriter will be given the floor for 10 - 15 minutes to perform a song that they’re crafting and to receive constructive feedback from the group.
“I did the songwriters circle with Madison and, honestly, it was invaluable to me. Not only was it nourishing for my musical spirit to have that connection each week, it also created accountability and motivation for my songwriting and ongoing education.
I learnt how to view and deconstruct songs in a completely new way, I learnt a lot about my writing style and how to challenge and push that, and I was able to share my music and my perspective. The songwriter in me felt genuinely understood and seen in that space. I couldn’t recommend The Songwriters’ Circle more!”
— Lexi Farrell (Sunshine Coast)
